Can I fit a cold air intake in my Chrysler LHS 99’?
Where’s the best place to buy the cold air intake?
I’ve looked on many different websites I can’t seem to find a site with a cold air intake for my car. A friend has told me I could just buy an intake for a Chrysler Concord or a Chrysler300 and it ‘should’ fit. I’ve also heard that I would have to make a custom built one. Really need opinions!!
K&N makes one that is a 'bolt on' product, but you can build your own for about half their total cost minus the heat shield.
The heat shield is really important in the 'cold air' intake otherwise all you are doing is allowing the car to 'breathe' better but get hot air from the engine bay.
Your friend is correct but it must be for the model years 99-04, other cars that would work are the Chrysler 300m, Concorde, and Dodge Intrepid.

***If you are looking for performance enhancements, chips do nothing for the LH platform cars except make your car waste more gas. The only 'reprogramming' option involves removing the Power Control Module and having it shipped to one of 2 companies that ever did programming of them for 'enhanced performance' settings, which will require you to run a higher octance fuel to see those benefits. Kenne Bell is one company that does this.
