Chain Hoists Lifts
Where are the attachment points for an engine hoist 'chain' to remove the engine from 2003 ford ranger 3.0L
The 'books' say to attach the chain to the engine lifting brackets, but are these actually on the engine somewhere. I'm not seeing them. I will probably just remove a few bolts and replace them with my own and the chain attached to it.
If you don't have these plates/hooks, buy two bolts 1.5" to 2" longer than the intake bolts, stick them through the chain or plate if you've got a Cool Guy hoist, at opposite front and rear corners.
I can't remember how many motors I have pulled in this manner.

Chain Hoists have to be Equipment You Could Handle Every Time
Chain hoists are used each single day of the week plus are part of day-to-day life; undoubtedly simply that its presence and performance is taken for granted and that could be ignored.
